India won the toss and decided to bat first in the second T20I. An early wicket was gone in the form of Ishan Kishan, but later on, it was a sizzling batting display from Sanju Samson and Deepak Hooda. Samson made 77 runs whereas Hooda scored 104 to create a record partnership for India.
The visitors set a massive target of 226 runs for Ireland and the hosts did not disappoint. Captain Balbirnie and Stirling led the side and many batters chipped in with crucial runs but in the end, they fell short by a mere 4 runs.
